Chadra - Akkar Honors Consul Nehme Khawly

15 June 2014: The town of Chadra in Akkar has been honored by its newly appointed son, Nehme Khawly, as an honorary consul to South Sudan in Lebanon, with a mass celebration that began with a festive mass and prayer for peace and security in South Sudan.

In the presence of a representative of President General Michel Aoun (President of the Free Patriotic Movement bloc previously), Mr. Jimmy Jabbour, a representative of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of Lebanon Mr. Gebran Bassil, Mr. Tony Mourany, and official representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of South Sudan, and a crowd of political figures and military and security leaders and clergy, and social activists from the town of Chadra and the neighborhood.
